Sound familiar?

It's ten o'clock, the house is finally quiet, and the elf still hasn't moved.

You love the magic. You're also tired. And somewhere between the wish lists and the countdown, you've wondered if December is teaching your kids to want more than it's teaching them to give.

Peppermint Missions gives your elf a sweeter job. Each morning brings a little wonder and one simple way to be kind. Each evening asks about two minutes of you.

Why we started the club

From our home to yours

The usual elf tradition never quite fit our house. I wanted my kids to spend December thinking about how they can contribute to the world around them. And I wanted a tradition that could do double duty, bringing whimsy into our home while reinforcing the values we're trying to live by.

So we started small, with little notes about kindness tucked beside our elves. Some mornings they landed beautifully, and some fell flat. After a lot of trial and error, we found what works: a bit of magic every morning with a real lesson inside, and a plan simple enough for a tired parent at ten o'clock at night.

I made this for busy parents like me, who want the magic and the meaning without one more thing to plan. The lessons inside are the ones I most hope my kids carry with them, long after they've outgrown elves.

Why parents love it

A lesson they'll remember, tucked inside a morning they'll love

For your children

Every morning begins with a little adventure and ends with something kind they did themselves. A seat saved for the kid sitting alone, or a thank-you for the mail carrier. Day by day, those small lessons add up to who they're becoming, and the fun is what makes each one stick.

For you

The thinking is already done. The handbook hands you the scene, the supplies, the lesson inside, and a question for dinner. Choose a card that fits your energy and you're finished in about two minutes, with the meaningful part of Christmas and the magical part arriving together.

By Christmas Eve, you'll have a kid who notices the neighbor shoveling alone. And you'll have a December you feel good about.

How it works

Two minutes at night. A little magic by morning.

  1. One

    Print once in November

Print the cards at 4×6 or 3×4, sort them by peppermint, and tuck them away.

  2. Two

    Your elf brings big news

On the first morning, a letter announces your elf has joined the North Pole Kindness Club, and your kids are invited too.

  3. Three

Set a scene, leave a card

Each evening, pick a card that fits tomorrow and set the scene in about two minutes. The mission itself happens the next day, whenever it suits you.

  4. Four

Your kids carry out the mission

Maybe a compliment, maybe cookies for the neighbors. Then talk about it over dinner.

What your kids find when they wake up

A little scene with a rhyming card beside it. Every card in the handbook comes with a scene idea like these. Tap a card to read it up close.

The peppermint key

Made for the day you're actually having

Every card carries a tiny peppermint in its corner. Your kids see a sweet detail. You see how much the day will ask of you, so a tired Tuesday gets an easy card and a slow Saturday gets the cookies. Most families use about 24, so you can skip any that don't fit your week and save a few for next year.

Why it works

Kindness is already in them

Research shows helping comes naturally to kids. These missions give that instinct room to grow.

Born helpers

Even the littlest children jump in to help someone who needs it, without being asked or thanked.

Warneken & Tomasello, 2006

Giving feels good

Children were happier giving treats away than receiving them, and happiest of all giving away their own.

Words shape who they become

Kids help more when they're invited to be “a helper.” The handbook shows you the words to use.

What parents are saying

We've done the elf for years, and I was starting to run out of ideas. The missions made it feel fun again. The kids were still excited to find the elf every morning, but now they had something meaningful to do, too.
Jill O.
My son started running downstairs to see what his mission was before he even asked about breakfast. He loved having a little job from his elf, and I loved watching him take it so seriously.
Mike C.
I thought these would just be cute little elf activities, but we ended up talking about kindness at dinner because of one of the missions. It was such a simple thing, but it started a really sweet conversation.

Questions

Questions parents ask

What is the North Pole Kindness Club?

It's a printable Christmas kindness kit for families with an elf. Your elf joins the club on December 1 and leaves a rhyming card most mornings, each one ending in a small act of kindness your children carry out themselves. The parent handbook plans the whole month for you.

How do I turn our elf into a kindness elf?

Print the cards and letters in November. On the first night, set out the welcome letter so your elf can share the news about joining the club. After that, leave one mission card beside your elf each night. Pick an Easy card on busy days and save the bigger ones for weekends.

Our elf has visited for years. Can we start this now?

Yes. There's an induction letter written for returning elves, so your elf can announce they've been invited into the club this year. Kids love the promotion.

Is this a physical product?

No, it's an instant digital download of six PDFs: the parent handbook, the welcome letters, the mission cards in 4×6 and in 3×4, the farewell letter, and an 8.5×11 membership certificate. There's also a Canva link so you can type your children's names right onto the letters.

Do I need a particular elf?

Not at all. It works with any elf or little friend you already have, or one you're bringing home for the first time.

We only have one elf. Does it still work?

Yes. Every letter comes in two versions, one for a single elf and one for families with several. The mission cards are written from your elf and their friends in the club.

What ages is it for?

It's best for ages 3 to 10. Toddlers can draw or deliver, and big kids love planning missions for their younger siblings. The handbook shows you how to size each mission for every age.

How much time does it take each night?

Setting the scene takes about two minutes. Easy missions use things you already have at home, and the handbook's supply list covers the rest. Save the bigger missions, like baking or a trip to the firehouse, for weekends.

What size are the cards?

Pick what's easiest for you. The 4×6 cards print beautifully at any photo counter. The 3×4 cards print six to a page and line up with Avery 5392 sheets, so they pop right out with no cutting. Plain cardstock works too, with cut marks on every page.

What if I don't have a printer?

Upload the 4×6 file to any photo counter or online photo service and pick up your cards the same day. Printing on A4 paper? Choose "fit to page" and it all fits.

When will I get it?

Right away. Your download link arrives by email as soon as checkout is complete.

Can I get a refund?

Since you get every file instantly, all sales are final. Not sure yet? Grab the three free missions first and see how your family likes them.
